Overall Personality: Timid and quiet - generally won't talk to strangers unless they approach him first. Has a strong sense of right/wrong, but will also avoid conflict at all costs.

Power: Sound Visualization / Neutralization
Power Description: Visualization is similar to chromesthesia. Neutralization cancels sounds (and therefore, any powers that use sound is also negated).

Other things: He doesn't do well in loud places (too much sensory stimulation). He will carry noise cancelling headphones for this purpose.

Job: Orthopedic surgeon (former field surgeon)

Overall personality: Generally easy-going and has a calm demeanor. He tends to take on an older brother / mentor role, especially to young aurors. Has an often infuriating fondness for lame jokes and puns (to the others' displeasure).

Class: Auror (rank S)
Power: Calcium manipulation / bone reshaping
Power Description: Can solidify anything that contains calcium (including liquids) - not only limited to bones, though this is what you would think of first. His precise level of control allows him to repair bone fractures with immense accuracy. His power does not require direct contact with the target, but the strength of the power increases with it.

Childhood Background: A former child auror. He grew up in a relatively poor neighborhood and was raised by his maternal grandmother. Childhood friends with fellow child aurors, Ailis and Croix.

Adult Background: A former physician in the auror-version of the army. He joined the army at a young age (shortly after college) before returning to get a college degree, then a medical degree. Worked for the army for several years, before returning to general practice.

Overall personality: She is often equated to a "snake" in terms of personality. She is strong willed and has a sharp tongue. Her childhood made her weary of other people, so she has an extremely hard time trusting others.

Class: Auror (rank S)
Power: Telepathy + Hypnosis
Power Description: Telepathy works both one way (i.e. she can send thoughts only and not receive thoughts) or two way (i.e. can communicate with the target(s)). Hypnosis works immediately and the strength increases with decreasing auror power - works extremely effectively on regular humans. The target will have no awareness of being hypnotized and will have no memory of what they did while under hypnosis.
Power Limitations: Strong aurors (especially S ranks, but possibly some stronger A ranks) are not as affected by hypnosis. Hypnosis controls the target's actions, not thoughts, therefore can affect animals and other non-human beings as well.

Childhood Background: A former child auror. Childhood friends with fellow child aurors, Caldran and Croix. Like them, she grew up in a poor neighborhood and participated in the local gang as a child to survive. She grew up in a neglectful family and grew up fending for herself.

Adult Background: She is a government official in a branch that specializes in managing aura abuse (i.e. finding and comprehending aurors who abuse their powers). On the flip side, the branch also has power over abuse of aurors (i.e. punishing other aurors or humans who take advantage of other humans or aurors).

Job: Trauma Surgeon

Overall personality: Out of the three, the most level-headed and has an anchoring personality. Has a never-wavering calmness and does well under pressure.  

Class: Auror (rank S)
Power: Time slow + Coagulation
Power Description: To others, time slow looks like he is moving extremely fast. Coagulation works on any liquid, but blood is the first liquid to come to mind. It can be done in reverse as well (i.e. making a solid/gel into a liquid). He can stop bleeding by clotting the blood - does not require direct contact, though it is faster with direct contact. Coagulation is how he affects vital signs (i.e. he can increase blood pressure by liquefying blood).
Power Limitations: Time slow cannot reverse time, but can slow time enough to nearly stop it.
History: Time slow was his original aura, but coagulation was what made him an S rank auror.

Childhood Background: A former child auror. Childhood friends with fellow child aurors, Ailis and Croix. He unlocked his aura at an especially young age, at 6 years old. His parents  sold him off to the government once they discovered that he was an auror, so he grew up in the auror academy, where he met Caldran and Ailis. He grew up in an auror "orphanage" for a few years, which was extremely taxing on both his physical and mental health. Eventually, he was deemed too much of a danger to remain in there and Caldran's grandma took him in.

Adult Background: Unlike Ailis and Cal, who are bent on destroying the corrupt government from the inside out, he wants as little to do with the government as possible. He has a daughter named Mireille.

Name: Verona
Gender: Female
Age: 24 (in current time)

Job: Singer/actress/model

Overall personality: Optimistic and cheerful. She easily befriends others and is generally outgoing in nature.

Class: Auror (rank B)
Power: Eyes on me (attention drawing)
Power Description: She has the ability to draw attention to herself. Unique to her powers, she has the ability to use her aura through media (e.g. through a television screen).
History: She was 16 when she obtained her aura (rank C) and was initially overwhelmed by the sudden attention. Gradually, she has learned to control her powers, which led to an increase in rank to B.


Background: The daughter of Astor and Kokoro. Her real name is Veronica, but she goes by Verona as a stage name. She has a twin sister named Vennelly ("Nelly"). While they look very similar, they are actually fraternal twins. Because Vennelly has hearing loss (since birth), Verona is fluent in sign language.

Gender: Male
Age: 19 (in current time)

Height: 5'8"
Job: Physician assistant

Overall personality: Polite and patient, especially around those he isn't close with. Generally reserved around strangers, but outgoing around close friends or family.


Class: Auror (rank B)
Power: Lens + eidetic memory
Power Description: His "lens" power works like Google lens does - it lets him "search" online databases for information about an object or a person. Essentially, his power lets his body work as a human wifi hotspot - it uses radio waves to transmit information. His eidetic memory is unique in that it is a latent aura that is always activated and does not tire him out physically.


Background: He has two sisters (one older, one younger). Due to his eidetic memory and being homeschooled, he is graduated at an unusually young age. His coworkers joke that he can write prescriptions for drugs, but he can't order a beer. He works for Caldran and the two have a close mentor-mentee relationship. Practically Cal's adopted son because of how protective Cal is.

There are 13 aurors in my main story - including the 6 aurors that do have a profile above. While I don't have the motivation to write up their profiles, here is a quick summary of some of their powers in case you're interested. ;^)

Hacking aura - Taps into technology via radio waves. Can reprogram code (or even inject code) into a system to either rewire or overwrite a system entirely.

Lie detector aura - Uses body language and tone of voice to detect lies. Though not infallible, it can work across media and may work on stronger aurors.

Persuasion/perception aura - essentially the opposite of lie detector - uses tone of voice and image to persuade / convince other people.
